Abstract

"City" piece on gamma hydroxybutyrate (GHB), a powerful knockout drug that, according to law enforcement officials, has made its way into southern Maine. Sgt. Scott Pelletier of the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency said the odorless and colorless liquid's sole purpose is to render a person defenseless. Sexual assaults have been reported locally in which the victims say they experienced unusual blackouts after being out on the town drinking.
