Abstract

"City" piece on New Year's Portland, which is being run by a new public/private all-white board led by Brian Petrovek, chief executive officer of the Portland Pirates, and has been scaled back this year. So far the new board has raised $150,000 in private donations and will get $5,000 from the city. People's Heritage Bank is the lead sponsor. With comments by representatives of Portland's minority communities.
