Abstract
When Vinalhaven's thoroughly vetted town manager left after a short tenure, the island hired the interim town manager, Andy Dorr, who had been doing the job during the time it took to do the search and hire someone. The town has been very satisfied with its choice. Dorr's approach to managing Vinalhaven is presented. [images]
