Abstract

"Business Maine: Northern" piece on the Land Use Regulation Commission's vote against a moratorium on large-scale development in the Moosehead Lake region. The vote clears the way for commissioners to begin review of Plum Creek Timber Co.'s plan for nearly 500,000 acres in the area. Organizers of the moratorium effort expressed concern that large-scale development would change the region's character.
