Abstract
The Landing School in Arundel plans to move beyond its wooden boat-building niche in the fall of 2007 by adding a composite construction program. Like previous additions to the curriculum, the goal is to meet industry demands. Steve Dalzell, director of the Landing School's yacht design program, says that the vast majority of boats are now composite-built. The addition of the composite program is the final piece of a $3 million expansion the school began six years ago with the development of its marine systems program.
