    Abstract

"Business Maine: Midcoast & Downeast" piece reporting that the Maine Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) recently struck a deal with California-based Kerramerican Mining Co. to spend $9 million to clean up a former mine in Blue Hill. The company mined zinc and copper there from 1971 to 1977, and DEP officials found metals leaching into groundwater at the site.
