Abstract

"Focus on Human Resources" piece on the Maine Staffing Group, which has grown from its Brunswick base to offices in Lewiston, Augusta, Biddeford, Bangor, and now Portland. In December, with the acquisition of Industaff, a division of Portland-based Springborn Staffing, the firm opened a Portland office to manage those accounts and act as home base for their new company, Project Flagging Inc. Maine Staffing hires for hard-to-fill positions in construction and manufacturing. Good flaggers are particularly hard to find. Rick Holden, Mark Burns, and co-owner Barbara Mahoney have four other companies in the Maine Staffing Group, Project Staffing Inc., Variable Employment Inc., Special Teams Inc., and One Source Preferred Inc.
