Abstract
Entrepreneurs in Maine's $3 billion outdoor recreation industry are cautiously optimistic about future growth as the COVID-19 pandemic has sparked an interest in healthy outdoor activities. Among the business owners interviewed are Tim Harrington of Sandy Pines Campground in Kennebunkport and Rheanna Sinnett of Just Add Water Floating Camps. Other outdoor startups are also seeing potential for growth, while adjusting their products and services to accommodate pandemic restrictions, including Back40 and The Trail Van, as well as various fly fishing startups.
