Abstract

Sen. William S. Cohen yesterday held hearings in South Portland, where he listened to the testimony of Maine women who have been victims of domestic violence, stalking and rape. Cohen hopes to use the women's testimony to help shape the language of the Senate bill, "The Violence Against Women Act of 1993." With details of the proposed law and with state and national figures.
