Abstract

Nationwide Insurance, the fourth-largest writer of auto insurance in the country, hopes to double its auto and homeowners policies in Maine over the next few years. Insurers in the state paid Maine policy holders 56.5 cents for every dollar paid in premiums, which is 12.3 cents less than the national average of 68.8 cents. Details.
