Abstract

State and federal environmental officials are at odds over the inclusion of the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard on the federal Superfund list. The list includes the nation's worst hazardous waste sites, and inclusion on it could lead to a delay in the shipyard's eventual cleanup due to the added layer of bureaucracy. Details.
