Abstract

Parents at Portland's Presumpscot School feel they were misled by a representative of the Spurwink School who met with them last spring and asked them to sign a petition of support for a neighborhood center. The parents maintain that the Spurwink School's plan for the center has changed dramatically since they signed the petition, and now includes services which they don't want in the community.
