Parents of children attending South Portland's Mahoney Middle School called for the resignation of school officials, saying they didn't respond to complaints about teacher Joseph D. Emmons that in some cases went back six years. Emmons has been indicted on criminal charges for allegedly assaulting a 12-year-old girl while he was a teacher at Mahoney. Details.
