Abstract

Portland city officials are considering a $1 tax on tickets for performances at Portland City Hall Auditorium to help pay for renovations to the facility. The committee overseeing the renovation of the auditorium has asked the city to come up with an additional $1.5 million to fund the project, but City Manager Robert B. Ganley said that taxpayers will be asked to contribute no more than $1 million of the increase. Details.
