Abstract

Sanela and Minela Smajovic, two sisters wounded in the fighting in Bosnia, are expected to arrive at Mid-Maine Medical Center in Waterville on December 23 for treatment. The hospital was one of the first ten in the U.S. to offer its services when the national organization Veterans for Peace announced the program to treat children injured during fighting in the former Yugoslavia.
