Abstract

Jeffrey Thaler, attorney for Jack Hegarty in his federal lawsuit against state and local officials, on Thursday filed an opposition to a request by the defendants for an early judgment in the case. The suit against Somerset County deputies and others contends that Katherine Hegarty, who was shot by county and state officers on May 16, 1992, was never informed that she was under arrest or would be arrested.
