Abstract

The 400-foot Pioneer Kazakhstan cruised into Searsport with 2.2 million board feet of Russian pine and 1.1 million board feet of spruce, all of it rough-hewn and headed for planing, grading and recutting in Maine mills. The shipment was arranged by Thomas Sapinski, president of Riverside International Corp. of Florida, and will provide enough work to keep four mills busy through the winter. Details.
