Abstract

Contributions and pledges for the new Children's Museum of Maine are running $350,000 short of the $2.5 million goal. Failure to raise the money by the October 31 deadline could result in a delayed opening or as cutback in exhibits and programs if banks prove unwilling to lend money to complete the project.
