Abstract

Recent U.S. census bureau figures show that Maine's population grew at a rate of 0.3 percent during 1992-93, for an increase of 3,100 people. Only three states grew more slowly than Maine, and the state's economy was cited as the major reason for the net outward migration of 3,000 people. Details.
