Abstract

Recent Maine Educational Assessment scores for eighth-graders show an average 15 point increase in mathematics, to 325, and a 10 point increase in reading, to 290, over last year. Scores fell in science, down to 280, in social studies, down to 255, and in arts and humanities, down to 280. Details.
