Abstract

The U.S. Navy has rejected a request from the congressional delegations of Maine and New Hampshire to concentrate repairs on attack submarines at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery. The Navy is giving the shipyard the funds needed to upgrade a dry dock, which will allow it to work on more 688-class submarines. Details.
