Abstract

The U.S. Navy has promised to give the destroyer Charles F. Adams, launched by Bath Iron Works in 1959, to the city of Bath if Bath can raise the money needed to create a proposed Naval Historical Park on the Kennebec River. A non-profit corporation has been formed to raise the estimated $2.7 million needed to create and maintain the park. Details.
