Abstract

Daniel Hamblet of Cape Elizabeth, who co-developed such properties as the Colonel Westbrook Park, the Payne Road Auto Mall in Scarborough and the Aegis Building in Bath, has filed for bankruptcy, listing $28.1 million in debts and $7,466 in assets. Peoples Heritage Financial Group is owed $12.5 million, the largest amount owed to a single institution, but expects to get some of that back. Details.
