Abstract

"Closeup" interview with Theodore B. Metzing, 55, president of Portland Pipe Line Corp., who is overseeing a revitalization of the pipeline. Oil flows through the Portland-to-Montreal pipeline were down to 55,000 to 60,000 barrels a day in 1985, but are now back up to 200,000 barrels a day and rising.
