Abstract

Joseph D. Emmons, the former South Portland teacher who was acquitted last year of sexual molestation, visited Mahoney Middle School on Monday, prompting schools Superintendent Reginald A. MacDonald to notify police that Emmons is not welcome at the school. Students and parents complained that they did not want Emmons on school property, and police chief Robert Schwartz said a criminal trespass notice will be served.
