Abstract

Justice Kermit V. Lipez yesterday reinstated Leon Planche as police chief of Cumberland, and called for a new hearing on the charges that led to Planche's February 1993 firing. Planche is to be compensated for the pay and benefits he's lost since being dismissed, and will remain on administrative leave with pay until the new hearing is concluded and a decision is reached.
