Abstract

A planned $10 million renovation of Edward T. Gignoux Courthouse in Portland is one of 208 such projects that is being reviewed by by the General Services Administration in an attempt by the Clinton Administration to save money. Plans currently call for the addition of another courtroom and chambers to accommodate a third federal judge. The buildings mechanical systems will also be updated. Officials believe the Portland project will survive the review.
