Housing Solutions of Scarborough is receiving $168 million in Farmers Home Administration loans under the agency's rural housing demonstration program to build 20 demonstration houses out of foam blocks -- Housing Solutions uses polystyrene foam blocks measuring 4 feet by 8 feet by 8 inches, and the resulting houses have been found to be less expensive to heat than conventional structures -- Details
