Central Maine Power Co (CMP) will pay Caithness King of Connecticut $5 million to cancel its plan to build a paper-recycling and power-generating plant at the Pejepscot Mill site in Topsham -- The payment, an out-of-court settlement stemming from a suit filed by Caithness against the utility, will allow CMP to withdraw from a commitment to purchase expensive power from the proposed plant -- Details
