Central Maine Power Co yesterday announced that it has reached agreement in principle to renegotiate contracts with 11 private hydroelectric producers in the state, with a combined capacity of 87 megawatts -- The renegotiations will result in savings of around $55 million over the first four years of the contracts, which translates into a 35 percent cost reduction
