Bath city officials and representatives of Bath Iron Works have reached a tentative agreement under which Bath will pay the shipbuilder $545 million incrementally through 1998 -- The payments, for the amount BIW has overpaid in taxes since 1991, range from $800,000 in 1994 to $145 million in 1998 -- BIW has agreed to forgive the 8 percent interest it could have charged the city Details
