Jonathan Linton, 19, of Litchfield was arraigned yesterday in District Court in Augusta on charges of arson, theft, and burglary in connection with a fire that destroyed the 45-year-old Litchfield Central School on Thursday -- Police said that Linton set the fire to cover up the theft of about $300 in petty cash from the school He is being held in the Kennebec County Jail in lieu of $100,000 double surety bail
