Abstract

John McArdle III, a Portland lawyer representing the five-year-old son of Barbara Anastosopoulos, yesterday asked the Maine Supreme Judicial Court that his client and his mother be allowed to sue the woman's doctors for negligence -- Both Anastosopoulos and her son have HIV, the virus that causes AIDS -- Anastosopoulos claims that her doctors, because they knew she was at risk for AIDS, should have had her tested for the disease when she became pregnant -- Details
