Abstract

John P "Jack" Critchley and Frances Harriman are running as a team for seats on the Gorham School Committee -- Both are conservatives and favor giving the town council line-item control of school budgets -- Critchley and Harriman say they are running as a pair so they can get motions seconded -- They contend that when other members of the committee don't want to talk about an issue they simply refuse to second the motion -- Critchley is running against Jane Golding, a one-time incumbent, and Lawrence M O'Rourke -- Harriman is running against Michael C Wing for the remaining year of a seat vacated by Elmer Dodge
