Intelligent Controls Inc of Saco, which makes industrial sensing devices, posted a record profit of $419,000 in 1993, an increase of almost 400 percent over the 1992 profit of $109,000 -- Sales for 1993 were $56 million, a 79 percent increase over the previous year -- Most of the company's growth came from sales of a device that measures fuel in underground tanks
