Abstract

The development rights on 1,272 acres of waterfront timberland in the Rangeley Lakes area have been purchased from Boise Cascade using $843,000 provided the Forest Legacy program, -- which is administered by the Maine Forest Service -- The action will prevent the subdivision of three miles of wooded frontage on Cupsuptic and Mooselookmeguntic Lakes and will prserve the land for logging and recreation -- Boise Cascade had previously sold its other interests in the land to the Rangeley Lakes Heritage Trust
