Abstract

Anne R. McCoy, associate director of athletics and senior woman administrator for the University of Maine at Orono, says that she informed UMO President Frederick Hutchinson on March 3 that Athletic Director Mike Ploszek told her on February 23 that he planned to conceal athletic-eligibility violations from the National Collegiate Athletic Association. Hutchinson yesterday acknowledged that he had a conversation with McCoy on March 3, but said he did not remember details of what was said. Ploszek denied the charges. Details.
