Abstract

Lois Eastman, an art teacher at Richmond High School, is teaching her students about Richmond's Russian heritage. Russian emigres established new homes in Richmond in the 1950s and 1960s, and it has been estimated that one-fourth of the town's 2,800 residents were from the former Soviet Union.
