Abstract

The Maine Legislature is expected to approve legislation that would allow the hiring of two new assistant district attorneys for Cumberland County. The vote on Gov. McKernan's supplemental budget, which contains the $80,000 to fund the two new positions, could take place next week. The additions will raise the number of assistant district attorneys in Cumberland County to 12, out of 115 statewide. Details.
