Abstract

The city of South Portland is looking for tenants for the old Sawyer School, and so far has received applications from Congregation Bet Ha'am, the city library and the Public Access television studio, now housed at Southern Maine Technical College. Congregation Bet Ha'am, a Reform Jewish congregation of about 200 Greater Portland families, wants to use the older building at the school for services and a religious school, while the library would like to relocate its branch to the school.
