Abstract

Seeking to invalidate strict new laws governing the taking of groundfish, the Maine Fishermen's Cooperative Association and the Associated Fisheries of Maine yesterday filed suit in federal court against the federal government. Named in the lawsuit are U.S. Commerce Secretary Ron Brown, the executive director of the New England Fishery Management Council and other federal officials. Details.
