Abstract

The federal Labor Department last week concluded that shoe workers laid off by Sebago Inc. since December 16, 1992, are eligible for retraining, travel and relocation expenses, because their jobs were lost to foreign competition. Three former Sebago employees petitioned the government to make the ruling, which affects around three dozen former shoe workers. Details.
