Abstract

Ed Carr, 67, a retired postal worker from South Portland, yesterday missed his bid for a million dollars when his 3-point shot landed a little short and clanged off the front of the rim in Gillette's 3-Point Challenge, held during halftime of the annual NABC All-Star game. Although Carr will not bring home the million, he did win a new car and $25,000.
