Abstract

The Maine Women's Health Study, which involved 798 Maine women between the ages of 25 and 50 who were experiencing uterine problems, shows that hysterectomies can be effective in relieving symptoms and improving the quality of life. The study was conducted under the auspices of the Maine Medical Assessment Foundation and was supported by a grant from the Agency for Health Care Policy and Research. Details.
