Abstract

As of yesterday, an assortment of 80 town officials, prosecutors, state legislators, lawyers and citizens had volunteered to become inmates for one night at the new Cumberland County Jail. The event is designed to help acclimate corrections officers and to showcase the new $27.8 million, 104,000-square-foot jail.
