Abstract

State Senator Harry Vose, D-Meddybemps, yesterday introduced a last-minute bill that if approved would designate 100 acres of land in Calais as Indian trust land. The designation is contingent upon approval by the city of Calais and a Passamaquoddy victory in court. The proposed bill received preliminary approval in the Senate but was tabled by the House.
