Abstract

State Senate President Dennis Dutremble and state House Speaker Dan Gwadosky yesterday urged Gov. McKernan to drop his support for a controversial plan that would allow Louisiana-Pacific Corp. to increase its nitrogen oxide emissions by letting the company use pollution credits generated by the state's auto emissions testing program. Louisiana-Pacific wants to expand its New Limerick plant, and will add 65 or 70 new positions to the exisiting 110 if the expansion goes through. Details.
