Abstract
Auto Europe, the discount car-rental broker that moved to Portland from Camden less than a year ago, may move to Falmouth if it can't resolve its parking problems in Portland. The company purchased the former Campbell Payson & Noyes Insurance building at 27 Pearl Street for around $600,000 in March 1993, and sold the building last summer to NRG Barriers for around $1.2 million. Auto Europe is buying the Galt Block for around $600,000 from Michael Marino, and estimates that it would have to spend $1.4 million to refurbish the building and buy land for parking. Details.
