Abstract

Karen White's class at Jack Elementary School on Portland's Munjoy Hill have established the Kids' Quick Fix Bike Shop, a bicycle repair shop for kids who can't afford to pay professional bike mechanics. The bike shop opened April 15 after five months of planning, and the 13 fourth- and fifth-graders at the shop plan to stay open after school ends for the summer. Details.
