Abstract

Karen Lee Pfost, 47, of Vicksburg, Michigan, the driver of the 18-wheel tank truck that yesterday plowed into heavy traffic on Route 1 in York, was charged with driving more than ten hours without eight hours of sleep. Aero Liquid Transit of Lowell, Michigan, Pfost's employer, was charged for not having a fuel-use decal on the truck, indicating the company did not have authority to operate in the state. Ten people were injured in the accident, Maine's third in nine months involving trucker fatigue. Details.
